NBC, CBS, and ABC straighten out their priorities.

It's a good thing that there are important news stories to report right now... Stories like the Salahis party crashing at the White House.  Or Tiger's old lady beatin' him about the melon with a five iron to celebrate the news that he has been hookin' up with cocktail waitresses on a regular basis for the past few years.

Heck, if these major news events weren't shaking the foundations of civilization, the folks at NBC, CBS, and ABC might have to spend more than two minutes a night reporting on stuff like the president's all-things-to-all-people Afghan War speech.  Or the president's inspiring in-depth single-day jobs fair in D.C.

But with the Salahis on the loose and Tiger driving Escalades into fire hydrants, the networks won't have to worry about wasting too much time reporting on speeches that make no sense or job fairs that create no jobs, after all, ace reporting calls for gate-crashing publicity seekers and car-crashing philanderers to take top priority.

And, by the way, if you're waiting to hear something...anything from Brian Williams, Katie Curic, or Charlie Gibson about the Climategate fiasco, you'd better be prepared to wait until hell freezes over.  Oh... pardon me, I guess I should have said "gets even hotter" to be politically correct -- presuming that hell is also subject to global warming.

And now, back to the news: Keith Olbermann has announced that the Salahis and Tiger Woods have signed a deal with the Golf Channel for a reality TV show in which the Salahis sneak into major golf tournaments while Tiger demonstrates some new tricks with his putter.  Tentatively, the show is to be titled Fore Play!

Another one bites the dust.

Happy 135th, Winston! Boy, could we use you now.

It's Winston Churchill's 135th birthday.  And where the hell do we find ourselves 135 years after WSC's birth?  In hell, that's where.

Here we are on November 30, 2009 with a communist president and a communist congress.  We have become a country that believes it's perfectly OK to commit partial birth infanticide.  We have become a country that believes in "hate crimes" -- aka: double jeopardy (if you can't get them in the first trial, try them again).  We have become a country that believes in phony science -- e.g. human beings are causing global warming and threatening the existence of the world.  Never mind that global warming is not only NOT proven, but that even if it were, there's no proof that humans have had anything to do with it or that, if we did, we could do anything about it.  It's very reminiscent of the kind of science the Nazis used to cook up to prove things -- like Aryan superiority.

Our country now also believes in "gay" rights (and if you don't you could be guilty of a "hate crime.")  But the country no longer believes in the rights of stockholders.  We know this from watching the way the president and congress nimbly ripped the rights of GM and Chrysler stockholders away and handed them to the UAW and a bunch of Italians.  Not only was all of this illegal, but it was done with the perfectly communist intention of redistributing wealth.

But this isn't all... Not by a long, long shot.  We are now a country that believes illegal aliens, who are breaking the law by definition, are to be given the rights of American citizens... in the courts, in our hospitals, in our schools.  And, once again, if you don't like that... well, you just may be guilty of yet another hate crime. 

And speaking of illegal aliens... let us not forget the terrorists about to be tried in the Big Apple.  Oh no... did I say terrorists?   What I meant to say was men and women who are accused of extreme unpleasantness (or whatever the PC phrase of the day may be).  Anyway, these used-to-be-called-terrorists are now to be given all the rights and considerations the law of the land gives to American citizens.  In fact, more rights if you consider that we're subjected to unconstitutional crap like "hate crimes" which they never will be -- though their crimes are among the most truly hate-filled that have ever been perpetrated on man by man.

Oh well... Happy Birthday, Winston.  Wish you were here.  We're desperately in need of someone who not only recognizes tyranny when he sees it, but actually has the guts to go to war against it. 

Mrs Aitch gives up the dead man for the undead.

You may recall that a few weeks ago Mrs Aitch was trying to drag me to the theatre to see Michael Jackson in This Is It.  Nothing against Michael Jackson, but I wasn't really enthralled with the idea of sitting through two hours of a dead man singing and dancing.  Anyway, somehow I managed to dodge that bullet.

But now there's another bullet in the air...

It seems Mrs Aitch has decided to drop the dead man in favor of the undead.  Michael Jackson is out and Robert Pattinson is in.  And yours truly has been informed (put on notice) that he will be escorting Mrs Aitch to the theatre to see New Moon.   

If there is anything that could compete with two hours of Michael Jackson for the top of my Do Not Wish to See list, it's two hours of teenage vampires in a theatre full of screaming/crying and otherwise hyperventilating teenage girls. 

So now I need your help once again... How do I escape R. Patts and the undead?  Mirrors?  Garlic?  Or do I simply tie Mrs Aitch up and bite her neck? 

You wouldn't think I'd have these sort of problems, would you?  I mean, it's not like I'm married to Bette Joan for Pete's sake.

Newsweek's slimey Jon Meachum goes after Sarah Palin.

Have you seen the cover of this week's Newsweek?  It's Sarah Palin in some tight black running shorts.  The picture was originally from a feature story in Runner's World, where such a picture would be appropriate.  What's it doing on the cover of Newsweek?  Well, looks like editor Jon Meachum stole it from Runner's World because he wanted something that would demean Palin.  After all, she has her new book, Going Rogue, coming out and the best possible way to mock her and sell more magazines is to present her as a piece of cheesecake.  Nothing subtle about Mr Meachum's editorial approach.

I wonder why we never got to see Mrs Clinton's fat ass stuffed into some spandex shorts when she was running for president?  Why should Clinton receive deference and respect while all Palin receives is a heap of scorn?  Does it have anything to do with Mr Meachum approving of liberal Democrats and hating conservative Republicans?  You bet it does.  And is that why Meachum will get a pass on this blatantly sexist stunt?  You bet it is.

Jon Meachum is a first rate slime with a big fat streak of hypocrisy running down his back.  Before he was editor of Newsweek he was their religion editor -- a nobody.  Then he wrote a book and was lucky enough to get a spot on Don Imus's radio show to plug it.  Lo and behold, Meachum's book sales got an immediate spike.  The taste of a little fame and fortune were entirely to Meachum's liking.  He immediately took to sucking up to Imus.  It was kind of embarrassing to witness just how cloying his obsequious behavior could be in pursuit of becoming an Imus in the Morning regular.

Then something happened... Don Imus made a thoughtless and inappropriate comment about a group of African-American girls on a college basketball team and got himself in some serious trouble.  How serious?  Well, let's just say that Al Sharpton's bullhorn was red hot.  Imus was apologizing all over the place -- to the girls, to all African-Americans, to his listening audience, in fact, to the world at large. 

Anyone with any common sense knew that Imus was not a racist.  His style of humor just happens to be very raw, direct, and take no prisoners.  He has always been known for being vulgar and irreverent.  But that didn't seem to matter, as the uproar dragged on, it became apparent that among the liberal power elites the politically correct thing to do was to condemn Imus and demand that he be fired and taken off the air.  Needless to say, those who were regulars on his show were submitted to special pressure.  And that's when Don discovered who his real friends were... and weren't.

I probably don't need to tell you that most of those who underwent scrutiny and pressure immediately folded up like cheap accordions, said their mea culpas to the liberal gods, and gladly bought their own exoneration by joining in the screaming for Imus's head.  About the only regulars who stuck by Imus were Pat Buchanan and Mike Barnicle.

And who was leading the pack of those trying to toss Imus under the bus?  Well, you guessed it, none other than his new best friend and the new editor of Newsweek, little Jon Meachum.  After using Imus's show --with every bit of its irreverence in full swing-- to feather his nest, Meachum couldn't wait to write an editorial in Newsweek wringing his hands over Imus's racism.

So there you go.  Now you know what Jon Meachum is all about.  He's a self-serving, back-stabbing slime who'd abandon his friends in a flash if he thought for a second it could further his career.  Is it any wonder he'd employ some shabby sexist stunt on the likes of Sarah Palin?  Hell, she's just lucky he didn't steal a shot from Hustler and have her head stuck on it. 

Kiss my red ass!

The Obama road show isn't going exactly as planned in Red China.  It seems that the Chi-coms don't take particularly well to being lectured on such matters as human rights, the Dalai Lama, global warming, and "rebalancing" the global economy. --Especially by the president of an economic disaster area like the United States (the Detroit of Nations).  The Chinese evidently think it's inappropriate for some debtor with a pencil cup to show up at the bank with a bunch of suggestions about how the banker should adjust his style of living.

Among other things, President Obama thought he'd fly in, lay down the law, and then dazzle the Chinese people at large with one of his magical televised town halls, the result of which would be instant popular pressure brought to bear on the Chinese government to see the light.  After all... in 1998 Bill Clinton went to China and spoke uncensored in a live interview on national television.  And in 2002, George Bush went to China and made an uncensored speech to university students on national television.  Surely, if Clinton and Bush were allowed such free-wheeling access to the Chinese people, President Obama should be, right?

Not so fast...

When Clinton and Bush went to China, the United States was still the United States and was thus to be treated with an appropriate measure of deference, but now that the United States has become Zimbabwe, deference is out the door.  Sure, the president would like to speak to the Chinese people, but heck, the people in hell would like ice water.  Simply put, the Red Chinese government has taken a new tack with the Obama administration.  Instead of "Please be our guest and speak to the Chinese people," the line has become, "Sit down.  Shut up.  And kiss my red ass." 

We need a _________that looks like America!

Have you ever heard this phrase?  Go ahead and fill-in the blank. --We need a Supreme Court that looks like America.  Or, we need a congress that looks like America.  Or, the president needs a cabinet that looks like America. 

The list goes on and on.  The point is, every time you turn around, someone such as Jesse "Hymie Town" Jackson or the Rev Al "Tawana Brawley" Sharpton is lecturing us through a bullhorn about needing to be more "inclusive" and "diverse."   It is taken for granted that if African-Americans, women, Hispanics, homosexuals, and Asians aren't part of some group, that group is illegitimate.  And racist!  

There is an exception.  Groups that are primarily made up of liberals don't have to worry about this.  It seems pretty clear that the whole idea of positing the statement is a liberal stunt employed to de-legitimize conservative or Republican groups.

Historically this technique has been tossed up against Republican presidents for their cabinet and Supreme Court appointments.  It really didn't get much traction during the recent Bush administration for the simple reason that Bush appointed the most diverse cabinet in history.  He had African-Americans, women, Hispanics, homosexuals, Asians... heck, he even had white guys in his cabinet.  He had everything you could think of short of talking dogs and three-legged ducks.

For the most part, during the Bush years, the libs had to go after him based on his Supreme Court appointments.  That Supreme Court --so the liberal line goes-- is nothing but a Good Ol' Boys club.  Of course there's the fact that Ruth Ginsberg is an associate justice.  And there's Clarence Thomas.  And there's the fact that three and half of the justices (during the Bush years) were rock solid liberals.  But that doesn't matter.  The libs have to raise a fuss so as to whip up sentiment against any appointments a Republican president might make.  And that's what they did when Bush appointed John Roberts and Sam Alito.  These guys were not only guys AND white, they were both Catholic!  Catholic conservatives!  Horror of horrors!!

Imagine: Male.  White.  Catholic.  Conservative.  Hokey smoke, how racist can you get?  Bush had really given the Jacksons and the Sharptons of the world plenty of grist for the old bullhorn.  And they used it.  They screamed and yelled at the top of their lungs: "Hey, we need a Supreme Court that looks like America!" 

Now, the reason I bring all this up is that a couple of weeks ago Detroit went to the polls to elect a mayor and city council.  When they were done, I was reviewing the results in the Detroit News, and guess what I noticed?  The mayor they elected is African-American.  And the nine members of the city council are: African-American, African-American, African-American, African-American, African-American, African-American, African-American, African-American, and (you'll never guess) African-American.

I would like to ask Jesse "Hymie Town" Jackson, the Rev Al "Tawana Brawley" Sharpton, and liberals at large: Doesn't Detroit need a government that looks like Detroit?  I realize that Detroit is 75% African-American, but that still leaves 25% of Detroit that is made up primarily of dying white people and hispanics.  25%!  That means that at least two seats on the city council should be non-African-American.  In fact, since the new mayor is also an African-American, it seems that possibly three city council seats should go to non-African-Americans.

No one has said a single word about this.  No objections.  Nary a peep of protest let alone any accusations of racism.  How can this be when it's so blatantly obvious that Detroit is no more than a Good Ol' African-American Boy club?  Well, here's how it can be: Detroit is controlled by African-Americans who are 99% liberal Democrats.  Unlike white guy Republican presidents, they just don't give a damn if what they're up to is racist.  And if you don't like it, well... don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of Detroit.  

General James Mattoon Scott: Benedict Arnold or George Washington?

Do you recall the 1962 novel Seven Days in May by Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey?  It was also a 1964 movie directed by John Frankenheimer (a big time liberal who also directed The Manchurian Candidate).  Anyway, in Seven Days in May, a weak-sister, liberal Democrat president named Jordan Lyman has endangered the security of the country by signing a naive disarmament treaty with the Soviet Union.  The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, one General James Mattoon Scott, plots to put a halt to this disarmament disaster by staging a military coup.  Do you remember that?

Fletcher Knebel and Charles W. Bailey were a couple of liberals who believed the country needed a good warning that the wonderful things being done by the likes of Lyndon Johnson (hmm... Jordan Lyman?) could be upset by extremists.  And by extremists Knebel and Bailey had folks in mind like Barry Goldwater and General Curtis LeMay (a Joint Chiefs Chairman who happened to be air force, just like General James Mattoon Scott).

The authors made General Scott's intentions seem doubly evil by making them treasonous. In other words, just in case you had some sympathy with "extremist" reasoning that, indeed, it might be unwise to disarm the country by signing a treaty with the lying, evil Soviet Union, Knebel and Bailey made sure to stress that General Scott's actions were not only the actions of a right-wing nut, but a treasonous right-wing nut to boot.  I guess the liberal thinking at the time was that if a Democrat endangered the survival of the country, that was OK and certainly preferable to some right-winger violating the constitution -- even to save our country and a hundred million lives.

Anyway... since Seven Days in May was written by liberals to warn everyone about conservatives (read extremists), everything ended up groovy in the end: the evil General James Mattoon Scott was forced to resign, the good President Jordan Lyman preserved the constitution, and, presumably, the country went on to disarm itself and thus turn the Soviet Union from bad to good, and achieve a world peace in which everyone lived happily ever after.

The bottom line to this yarn was this: Democrats are peace loving people who uphold and defend the constitution.  Republicans are war-mongering scoundrels who'd toss the constitution in the toilet to maintain their war-mongering ways.  Well, if that's the way you stack the deck, of course the liberal Dems are gonna come off looking like the heroes. 

BUT... what if the Dem president was the one who was violating the constitution?  What if he were knee-deep in treason, and willing to do anything necessary to maintain his power?  And what if congress was filled with Dems more interested in supporting such a president than supporting the constitution? Well, in that case would Knebel and Bailey have thought it was such a bad thing to have a General James Mattoon Scott around to clean things up?  I mean, isn't it possible that there are circumstances under which the only way to maintain freedom just might be to fight treason with treason?  Isn't it conceivable that the country could find itself left with no other alternative? 

I wonder how Knebel and Bailey would have written that story?  I wonder if they were really concerned about the United States or if, like their liberal kith and kin of today, their real concern was furthering, strengthening and consolidating liberal power?   

Gary Peters and Carl Levin. Both cowards. Both liars.

For some months now I have been emailing and phoning my congressman, Michigan 9th district representative Gary Peters, to ask him how he plans to vote on the health care bill, AND to tell him that I am strongly opposed to the bill.  All of my contact has been met with the same two-part response: 1) Congressman Peters has not made up his mind on the health care bill.  And 2) Thank you for sharing your opinion, we'll make sure the congressman is told how you feel.

This is Congressman Peters first term as a congressman.  He is also the first Democrat my district has elected since something like 1904.  He got elected in the 2008 Obamathon more as a spanking for the Republicans that any vote of confidence for the Dems.

Mr Peters has been playing a little game ever since arriving in Washington.  He uses his left foot to play footsy with Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the communists in DC, and his right foot to play footsy with his mostly Republican constituents back in Michigan.  Some would call this being a shrewd politician.  I call it being a coward and a liar: He's afraid of Pelosi and her crew so he votes the way he's told.  But he lies to his constituents and pretends that he is giving careful consideration to our views.

He has made one big mistake: Nancy Pelosi doesn't elect him, we do.  That is, we did (not me of course, but some local idiots).  Come next year Mr Peters is going to learn two things: 1) That he shouldn't lie to his constituents.  And 2) Just how short two years actually is.

Carl Levin is one of Michigan's two big fat lying U. S. senators.  If you call him from a traditionally Republican district or let him know you are opposed to Obamacare up front, he becomes just like that lying Gary Peters -- he tells you (that is, his staff tells you -- you actually never get to speak to him because he's too important for you) anyway... his staff tells you that 1) He has not made up his mind on the health care bill.  And 2) Thank you for sharing your opinion, they will make certain the senator is told how you feel.

The funny thing is, whereas Gary Peters plays his little game because he is a commie representing a Republican district, Big Fat Carl Levin is a commie representing a commie state.  He has been reelected many times and the UAW and teacher's unions in this state will see to it that he is continually reelected until the day he dies (and probably for several terms thereafter).  In other words, he has no fear of reprisal in telling you that he supports Obamacare, but he lies anyway.  Why?  Well, I guess that as a politician he just wants to stay in practice.  Either that or as a Democrat he simply enjoys lying to the public.

The bottom line is this:  Gary Peters and Carl Levin will simply not tell you the truth when you contact them.  They lie through their teeth.  They are shit-eating cowards.  They know damn well how they're going to vote on issues, but they lie so that they can avoid having to explain and defend inexplicable and indefensible positions on unconstitutional crap like Obamacare. 

Who are you gonna believe, NBC or your lying eyes and ears?

Virginians elected a Republican governor yesterday in a landslide.  And the overwhelming Democrat state of New Jersey tossed that bum Corzine out on his ass.  But guess what?  None of that had anything to do with President Obama.  How do I know?  Because NBC and MSNBC told me so.  It seems that everyone is perturbed by Democrats in their home states, but they love that Obama.  And it seems that everyone is blaming Democrats in their home states for the lousy economy and rising unemployment, but they love that Obama.  And it seems that crap like TARP, cap and trade, card check, and Obama/Pelosicare make folks want to retch, BUT... they are blaming Democrats in their home states, and NOT Obama.

Well, I guess that just goes to show that you can't trust your own sense of sight or hearing... or even your common sense for that matter, because I could have sworn that I've been seeing and hearing tea parties for months.  That I've been reading articles and editorials... That I've been listening to TV and radio commentators... And that all of it has been very negative and very much aimed straight at the White House.  But hey, that was before NBC and MSNBC and folks like Keith Olbermann had straightened me out.
